Siku & Nilak | Prologue In the snowy tundra of northern Canada, two Inuit families live separate lives. Their sons, Siku and Nilak, are both eighteen years old but have very different personalities: Siku is strong, open and cheerful, while Nilak is quiet, dependent and fearful. Later, in Toronto, Nilak struggles with homesickness and misses his family and friends. As tears run down his cheeks, Siku comes to comfort him, offering his hand and holding him in his arms. Their growing bond begins to reveal just how important they may become to each other.
