AI character casting

Get your character cast in AI shows

Like casting for film and TV, but for AI series. List a character — yourself, your avatar, your mascot or a character you created — and story owners hire it for their episodes. You set the fee, approve how it looks and get paid when it appears.

Who it’s for

  • KOLs and influencers with a recognisable face or persona
  • VTubers and virtual creators
  • Brands and IP owners with mascots or licensed characters
  • Actors and models
  • Illustrators and character designers
  • Authors whose characters deserve a screen

How casting works

  1. 01

    Add your character

Upload a character you own — a photo-based likeness, an avatar, a mascot or an original design — or create one with AI. Confirm you have the rights to license it.

  2. 02

    Set your fee

Choose a price per episode in USD, or offer the character for free to get it seen. You can pause the listing or change the price at any time.

  3. 03

    Get hired or apply

Story owners find your character in the marketplace and send a hire request for one episode. You can also apply to open casting calls where they describe the role they need.

  4. 04

Approve the look and get paid

If you require it, you review how your character appears before the video is made. Your fee is released once the character is in the episode and approved.

How you earn

A fee for every episode

Each hire covers one episode. You keep 90% of your character fee; the platform fee is 10%. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe in supported countries.

Paid social posts, if you want

Offer to publish the finished episode on a connected social account for an extra fee. Story owners can add posts to a hire or choose a character + posting bundle.

Casting calls

Story owners post casting calls for specific roles. Apply with your character; applications are private and commit no payment or rights until a hire is confirmed.

You stay in control

You approve how it looks

Turn on appearance approval and you see the scenes before the video is generated. If you do not answer within 72 hours, it counts as approved.

A clear, narrow scope

A hire covers one episode. Voice rights, reuse in the story owner’s library and social posting are excluded unless you explicitly include them.

Stop whenever you like

Pause a listing to stop new hires. Hires already in progress are not affected, and nothing is deleted.

Questions

What is AI character casting?

Story owners making AI shows on Yoh can hire existing characters instead of inventing new ones. You list a character, and they hire it for an episode — much like casting an actor, but the performance is generated by AI.

What kinds of characters can I list?

Any character you have the rights to license: your own likeness, a virtual persona, a brand mascot, or an original character you designed or wrote. If a character is based on a real person, you must have their permission.

How much does it cost to list a character?

Listing is free. When a paid hire is completed, the platform keeps a 10% fee and you receive the rest through Stripe.

Do I need payouts set up before I list?

No. You can list right away. You set up payouts before accepting your first paid hire. Free hires do not need payouts.

What does a story owner get when they hire my character?

Permission to use the character in one episode of their story. Voice rights, reusable-library rights and social posting are only included if your offer includes them.

Can I control how my character is portrayed?

Yes. With appearance approval on, you review the scenes before the video is made. If you do not respond within 72 hours, they count as approved.
